This rug was handwoven by Khadija and her sisters. 

Khadija belongs to a female-only weaving association and often works with her sister and sister-in-laws. The Zanafi weaving technique comes from the High Atlas Mountains. While it's most common in the neutral black & white palette this technique can be made with a variety of color combinations. 

This technique is extra special as it's reversible and the symbols become inverted depending on the side.
